Chris Hogan who?

Where has Chris Hogan gone? Yes I know he was the Patriots leading wide receiver in Week 6, but he was missing for a majority of the game.

Until Josh Gordon arrived Hogan was a huge part of the Patriots offense. In the first 3 games of the season, he had 14 targets. Since Gordon started playing Hogan has only had 9 targets.

The striking thing about Hogan’s absence is because it isn’t due to a lack of effort. There were multiple times that Hogan was wide open but Brady forced it to a different receiver.

I can’t see Hogan’s role getting any bigger. If Brady is already ignoring him what will happen when Gordon continues to play a major role.

Hogan is in a contract year and from the looks of it, I don’t think the Patriots will be bringing him back. The Patriots have been known to cut ties with players at a drop of a hat. Does Wes Welker or Danny Amendola ring a bell?

This may be the last season we see Chris Hogan in a New England Patriots uniform.
