3. Deone Bucannon

I don’t know if you have heard, but the New England Patriots injury report continues to get longer by the minute. We saw Ja’Whaun Bentley get sent to the IR early on in the season, so maybe it would be a good idea to bolster the depth at the position.

Deone Bucannon is another member of the failing Arizona Cardinals that could help out the Patriots. Just like Peterson, Bucannon’s level of play has decreased, but he is still a solid player.

In his 2nd season, Bucannon had 109 tackles (11 tackles for loss), 3 sacks, 3 forced fumbles, an interception, and a touchdown. If the Patriots were able to acquire him, I think they could make him a quality linebacker again.

It will be interesting to see how active the Patriots are at the deadline. I think they will either stand pat or make a big move. I guess we will have to wait and see.
