The Boston-LA rivalry will take a new twist, as it is the first time the Boston Red Sox and Los Angles Dodgers have squared off on baseball’s biggest stage.

Four more wins. The Boston Red Sox need four more wins to become 2018 World Series champions. Given the fact that they have won 115 games so far, 4 is nothing. Against the Los Angeles Dodgers, however, it might be the toughest 4 wins of the season.

The Dodgers went 92-71 this year, and are 7-4 in the post season. After defeating the Atlanta Braves 3 games to 1 in the NLDS, it took 7 games to win a back and forth NLCS with the Milwaukee Brewers. The Dodgers have been knocking at the door the last few seasons, not missing a post season appearance since 2013.

In 2016 they made it to the NLCS, but lost to the Chicago Cubs, last year they pushed the Houston Astros to 7 games in an epic World Series. You can only imagine 2018 has something special in store for us.

The Dodgers have a heavy hitting offense with stars like Cody Bellinger, Yasiel Puig, Justin Turner, Brian Dozier, Joc Pederson and Red Sox enemy Manny Machado.

The LA pitching staff is stacked as well, with Clayton KershawHyun-jin Ryu, Walker Buehler, Rich Hill, and closer Kenley Jansen. The Dodgers led the NL in home runs and extra base hits with 235 and 564 respectively. Their pitching staff also led the National League with a 3.38 ERA and 1565 strikeouts.

This World Series is going to be a heavy weight matchup, with the Boston Red Sox opening up as early favorites in Vegas. With so much on the line over the next week and a half, here are 3 key factors to look for in the series once we get underway at Fenway Tuesday night.
