Florida State Seminoles

The Seminoles enter this game against the Eagles on a three-game losing streak. Prior to the Notre Dame loss, Florida State lost to N.C. State and Clemson, allowing all three opponents to score 42 points or more.

Run defense had been a strength of the Seminoles through the season’s first eight games, but they’ve taken a step backwards as of late. The last two games have seen Florida State give up a total of 542 yards on the ground.

Before that, they’d allowed on average only 102.9 yards per game on the ground.

Sophomore defensive back Hamsah Nasirildeen leads Florida State with 72 tackles and junior defensive end Brian Burns tops the team with nine sacks.

The offense of Florida State has been in neutral for the most of 2018. They only average only 22.7 points and 79.8 rushing yards per game.

Cam Akers remains the top back with 559 yards rushing, though he has yet to produce a 100-yard game in 2018.

Quarterback Deondre Francois has thrown for 2259 yards and 13 touchdowns with 8 interceptions to his name.

Prediction

This game will once again come down to Boston College’s defensive performance and its running game. If the defense is on — and it should be — and Dillon gets going again, the Eagles should win this one going away.
