New England Patriots rumors: 5 players team needs to re-sign

5. Jonathan Jones
Jonathan Jones has continued to improve as a corner since joining the New England Patriots in 2016.
This season was Jones’ best of his career. He has been able to build off of each season. Jones snagged 3 interceptions this season which was a career high.
It looks like Jones etched out a role for himself in 2018. He had a lot of success being the 3rd corner on the depth chart.
Now if Jason McCourty does end up not playing for the Patriots it makes this signing much more important. After his success in 2018, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Jones get a shot at the No.2 corner if McCourty does leave.

The New England Patriots have a lot of tough decisions to make, but if they bring these guys back they will minimize the blow and still have a strong team on both sides of the ball.
