Micheal Ferland

Even though the Carolina Hurricanes are battling for a wildcard spot, the Boston Bruins may be able to acquire the winger they need from them. Micheal Ferland was dealt last summer and could be dealt once again at the trade deadline.

Ferland is a quality winger, but Carolina doesn’t know if he will re-sign in the offseason.

Now it will be hard to explain to your fans why you would get rid of a quality player in the middle of a wildcard race, but Boston could make it a mutually beneficial deal. The Bruins have a ton of young players who could entice the Hurricanes to make a deal.

Ferland is having a decent season down in Carolina. So far he has scored 15 goals and 16 assists. That may not seem like anything special but that would make him a top 5 goal scorer on this team.

Micheal Ferland doesn’t have the op of an Artemi Panarin or Mark Stone, but could definitely add some much-needed scoring to the Boston Bruins.
