After seeing Rob Gronkowski retire following the 2018 season, which New England Patriots star players could call 2019 their last?

All good things must come to an end.  New England Patriots fans have certainly found that out the last few seasons with the retirements of Rob Ninkovich and just a few months ago Rob Gronkowski.

While the Patriots have been successful in sustaining their two-decade dominance by being able to replace players at key positions, it is still a sad day when one of the stars calls it quits.

In the NFL, you really never know when the wear and tear of football will get to a player.  Some players retire before they hit the age of 30 like Rob Gronkowski and some players try to play beyond their best years.  Veterans like linebacker James Harrison and wide receiver Eric Decker fit that mold, proving that not everyone can play at a high level late in their careers like the one and only Tom Brady.

As for the New England Patriots and the upcoming 2019 NFL seasons, there are a number of veterans who could be playing their last season in a Patriots’ uniform, but there are a few who could be playing their last season of football.

Here are three players who could retire following the 2019 NFL season.
