New England Patriots: 3 stars who could call it quits following 2019 season
1. Tom Brady
Now, it’s really hard to imagine life without Tom Brady.
With six rings on his finger, TB12 only has one motivation left in his storied career and that is to play at a high level till the age of 45.
Entering the 2019 season, Brady will be 42 so he is three seasons away from accomplishing that feat. But, will time allow him to play physically at a high level past 2019?
As Brady says, once he sucks, he will know it’s time to walk away from the game. Until that happens, the New England Patriots will do their best to preserve their aging star quarterback. By surrounding him with a power running game and offensive talent like N’Keal Harry taken in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft, the team will try to make life as simple as possible for their longtime star.
Yes, it is hard to imagine life without Tom Brady, but there is no better coach or team to prepare for that more than Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots.
Then again, they haven’t had to have to think about it since 2001. Back then, no one knew what Tom Brady would become. Perhaps his successor is someone without a name yet. Let’s not think about that till 2020 or maybe beyond.
