2. Julian Edelman

For the near future, it looks like Julian Edelman will be Tom Brady’s No.1 target. That is both a daunting and exciting task.

Now Edelman has proven he is a capable wide receiver, but the Patriots have always had Rob Gronkowski as a failsafe. This looked to be the first season where Edelman would have to take the brunt of the responsibility.

The Josh Gordon news takes some of the pressure off of Edelman. Now if he has a bad game he won’t be the reason the Patriots lost. Josh Gordon and other receivers can pick up the slack.

Also, this should help Edelman get open in coverage. Opposing defenses could have keyed in on Edelman. Now they will have to keep an eye on Gordon and Edelman.

In 2019 I think we will see Julian Edelman have another great season and help lead the New England Patriots to possibly another championship.
