The New England Patriots (1-0) take on former defensive play caller Brian Flores in the Miami Dolphins (0-1) in an AFC East showdown in South Beach.

On paper, this game should be over by mid-second quarter.  However, matchups between the New England Patriots and Miami Dolphins down in South Beach have a way of being a lot tougher for Tom Brady and crew than it should be.

Coming off a 59-10 loss to the Tennessee Titans, the Dolphins will be out to show they are not tanking this season.  Behind former Patriots defensive play caller Brian Flores, the heavy underdogs will definitely get up for the defending Super Bowl champions.

Speaking to the media on Friday, Patriots head coach Bill Belichick is certainly not overlooking the Miami Dolphins, especially with some familiar faces now coaching on the other sideline.

"“They have a lot of weapons. They have a lot of ways that they can make big plays and score a lot of points,” Belichick said during the conference.  “So, we’ll have to do a real good job of defending this group, and trying to play a complementary game on offense, defense, special teams. So, it’ll be a big challenge for us like it always is down there.”"

While the biggest question will be whether new wide receiver Antonio Brown plays on Sunday, the bigger question in this game will be how focused the Patriots are on the offensive and defensive side of the ball.

Following complete domination against the Pittsburgh Steelers in the opener, a letdown could happen in the heat of Miami even though Belichick, Tom Brady and the rest of the team are saying all the right things.
