Following a 43-0 demolition of the Miami Dolphins, the New England Patriots improved to 2-0 with rumblings of a possible 16-0 season.

For the New England Patriots, it’s suddenly 2007 all over again.  Following a 43-0 squishing of the Miami Dolphins Sunday afternoon, Tom Brady and the defending Super Bowl champions are well aware of the whispers of another perfect season.

Not so fast says Brady, who was obviously the only player to have experienced that 2007 season.  Instead, the team is focused on the next one.  And that means going up against the New York Jets and extending their record to 3-0.

Check out Brady following the victory in Miami:

While the 43-year-old quarterback is adjusting to the rules of social media, he did address the potential of another undefeated season during his weekly Monday morning appearance on The Greg Hill Show on WEEI.

When asked if he cared, Tom Brady simply said no and that the focus of the team is on improving each week and getting better with no time for “hypothetical situations.”  Looking past teams is what can cause the team a hiccup on any given Sunday.  The last two seasons are proof on that.

Therefore, fans and media types can have their fun talking about what could be for this team.  As for the New England Patriots and their youthful quarterback, it’s all about the next game on the schedule.

"“…I’m not thinking about anything more than 3-0 because that’s the only thing that matters,” Brady said, as transcribed by WEEI.  “That’s what we got this week.  Today, wake up and I’m thinking about the Jets and how they’re going to attack us and how we need to attack them.  It’s going to ebb and flow over the course of the whole season.  There are big challenges ahead and to take your eye off what’s really important is a disservice to the team and we’re not doing that.”More from New England PatriotsFormer Patriot Stevan Ridley Put Kevin Hart in a Wheelchair3 Patriots Who Can Clinch a Roster Spot in Final Preseason GamePatriots Get Win Over Division Rivals Before Season Even BeginsNew Massachusetts Sportsbook Promos: $450 Bonus to Bet on Your Patriots at Caesars + DraftKingsEzekiel Elliott Reveals 3 Reasons Why He Signed With Patriots"

The New England Patriots certainly have to be more focused than usual considering the addition of Antonio Brown and the baggage that comes along with him.  Add that to keep Josh Gordon on track and the team’s offensive dominance can go downhill quickly if either or both of those talents are not able to get on the field.

However, for Tom Brady, relying on those two forces is not what the offense wants to be about.  They want to continue spreading the ball around and work to improve their running game led by Sony Michel.  If they are able to be the versatile offense they have proven to be, a perfect season is not out of the realm of possibilities.

With the New England Patriots defense ballin’ like they are, Tom Brady and his crew on the offensive side of the ball has some room for error, but they can’t make that a trend.

So, 16-0?

That’s a conversation for Week 17.
