The New England Patriots (5-0) return home for a Thursday night matchup against the New York Giants (2-3) at Gillette Stadium.

The New England Patriots are expected to have an easy road to 6-0 in this Week 6 matchup against a very battered New York Giants team led by rookie quarterback Daniel Jones.

As a 17-point favorite, Tom Brady and the Patriots’ offense will be the focal point once again as the team struggled in the first half against the Washington Redskins.  Led by solid performances by Julian Edelman and running back Sony Michel, the offense did get it together in the second half stretching a 9-7 halftime lead into a 33-7 romp of the Redskins.

In a short week, the running game will be relied upon again with rainy weather expected in Foxborough.

On defense, the New England Patriots should continue their dominant ways.  With no Saquon Barkley, Sterling Shepard or Evan Engram for the Giants, their offensive weapons will be limited.

That will leave the Patriots’ front seven focused on keeping a mobile Daniel Jones in the pocket and limiting any production from veteran wide receiver Golden Tate.

Despite the injuries, however, Bill Belichick knows his team as to be ready for whatever the Giants throw at them.

"“We’ll be ready for everybody until they’re out. But, yeah. We’ll expect them all to play, we’ll prepare for all of them to play,” Belichick said on Tuesday, via Patriots.com.  “They have a lot of good players. They have good depth and they’ve gotten good play from a lot of different players. Just start with [Daniel] Jones stepping in for [Eli] Manning, there’s two good quarterbacks. So, they’ve moved the ball effectively against everybody.”"
