One of the unsung heroes of the New England Patriots defense will come up big Thursday night.

Jonathan Jones isn’t a big name in the secondary, but his solid play is a very big reason the success of the defense against the pass.

As the slot cornerback and core special teams performer, Jones will be solid Thursday night and may even pick off his namesake, Daniel Jones, if he tries to force a play. His physical style of play in the secondary, as highlighted by his headline grabbing hit against Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen on a scramble, will be a factor in this game.

With Stephon Gilmore and Jason McCourty locking down the outside receivers, Jonathan Jones will be responsible for locking down whatever the New York Giants have left on their depth chart.

Should be a big night for the entire defense, but Jones will take his turn to shine in the secondary.
