Ryan Izzo, TE

In a week in which the team released veteran tight end Ben Watson, I predict young New England Patriots tight end Ryan Izzo will have a career game Thursday night.

Given his lack of production so far in his NFL career, that is not saying much.

However, coming off a game in which he caught 2 passes for 39 yards and his first career touchdown, I see Tom Brady looking his way a bit more.

He is nowhere near the talent of Rob Gronkowski (no one is), but he is a big target for Brady and he has made some plays in the offense the few times Brady has looked his way.

With the tight ends starting to play more of a role in the New England Patriots offense, Ryan Izzo is working on building Brady’s trust through hard work and consistency.

"“I’m always constantly trying to improve,” Izzo said Tuesday, via Boston.com.  “Consistency is one of the most important things I try to preach every week, whether that’s in the run game, pass game, or special teams.”"

Expect Izzo to build off his Week 5 performance with a few more catches Thursday night against the Giants.
