New England Patriots and New York Jets are set to square off in a rematch of their Week 3 AFC East matchup at MetLife Stadium.

Don’t let the 1-4 New York Jets fool you.  With Sam Darnold back at quarterback, Gang Green will be out to upset the undefeated New England Patriots in a Monday Night AFC East battle.

The Jets in fact showed some offensive punch in their Week 6 surprising victory over the Dallas Cowboys.  Darnold was sharp throwing for 338 yards as the Jets held on to beat the Cowboys 24-22.

Expect that confidence to translate over to Monday night as the Jets will look to avenge a 30-14 loss to the Patriots in Week 3.

This time around the Patriots’ offense is struggling to find chemistry and consistency which may play right into the hands of a physical New York Jets defense.  But it really comes down to Sam Darnold vs the stingy New England Patriots defense.

If Adam Gase and his young quarterback can find some wrinkles in the defense, this could be a game that goes down to the final possession.  On the other side, if Brady and the offense can get some kind of running game going, the Patriots should remain undefeated unless the team just doesn’t show up.

That is highly unlikely as the New England Patriots has had 11 days off since their Thursday night 35-14 beatdown of the New York Giants.  That extended time off game Bill Belichick some time to prepare for Sam Darnold.
