NEWARK, NEW JERSEY – DECEMBER 06: Miles Wood #44 (Photo by Elsa/Getty Images) /

Miles Wood

The New Jersey Devils have already made one big trade this season. Maybe they will be willing to make another move.

Now I will admit that this would be more of a gamble for the team. Miles Wood hasn’t had an amazing career but he is young and has a decent contract.

Wood’s best season came in 2018. In 76 games, Wood had 19 goals and 13 assists.

This season hasn’t been so special for Wood. He only has 4 goals and 6 assists. He wouldn’t even crack the top 10 in scoring for Boston.

But I think we have yet to see the best of Wood. I think he could become a perfect partner for David Krejci. If he can get 20 goals and 15 assists that wouldn’t be so bad.

Wood also wouldn’t cost as much as the other targets. A prospect or a mid-level draft pick might get Wood to Boston.

Next. David Pastrnak needs to be smarter. dark

So it will be interesting to see what the Boston Bruins do at the trade deadline.
