The Eagles are currently coming off a six game losing streak after dropping a game at the inaugural Country Classic in Nashville, Tennessee, in late November. Though they started the season strong — on an eight game win streak that began with an exhibition game against the Professional Women’s Hockey Players Association (PWHPA) — the loss of leading scorers Caitrin Lonergan and Daryl Watts to non-conference teams Clarkson and Wisconsin has hit them hard as they skate out of the holiday break.

In the absence of Lonergan and Watts, though, underclassmen like Kelly Browne and Hannah Bilka have definitely stepped up. The two are currently leading the Eagles in scoring with 24 and 23 points, respectively, and are in the top ten for scoring in the entire conference — an impressive feat, given their class.

Boston College’s next match-up is a conference match-up this upcoming weekend, January 24th-25th, against the Providence College Friars.
