New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady found a way to be the talk of the Super Bowl with a Hulu Ad that set social media ablaze.

Did Tom Brady just announce he was returning to the New England Patriots in a Hulu Super Bowl LIV commercial? Or is he continuing to play with the hearts of Patriots fans everywhere?

Well, the next few weeks will tell the story,.

But for one moment during the early first half of the Super Bowl showdown between the San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs, Brady gave Patriots fans a reason to hope with this Super Bowl LIV commercial spot for Hulu.

At the beginning of the Ad, it appeared Brady may be hinting at retirement as he walked down a long tunnel to the stadium, an image similar to the one that set social media ablaze with speculation during the week.  Then, Brady jumps to an announcement about Hulu’s Live TV availability.

But the ending where he says “as for me, I’m not going anywhere” really got social media buzzing as New England Patriots fans latched onto those words to mean he is staying with the team.

Of course, any actions or words by Tom Brady as he enters free agency for the first time in his career will be overanalyzed.  It could simply mean that he is not retiring.  Then again, he has already made that announcement.  But he certainly set Twitter ablaze with the commercial and then by posting the commercial on his personal page.

Fans and teammates like Sony Michel quickly reacted.

So, what’s the deal Tom Brady?  Do you really like playing with the hearts of Patriots fans like this?  Or is there something genuine in those words?

Something certainly seems to be brewing between the 42-year-old quarterback and the team he has spent his entire career with.

Earlier in the day a report surfaced by NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport that the Patriots are willing to pay Brady up to $30 million per year to keep him in Foxborough. Rapoport also reported that any return would be contingent on the team spending some money on offensive playmakers.

In order for the team to have some money to play with, Tom Brady would have to sign before March 18 or else the team would have $13.5 million vs $6.75 million of dead money for 2020.  That’s nearly $7 million the team could use on offensive talent.
