2. Gorgui Dieng

Another intriguing big man option is Minnesota Timberwolves center Gorgui Dieng.

His contract may deter the Boston Celtics a bit as he is still owed $17.3 million, but his size could certainly help.  Like Noah Vonleh, Dieng could use a change of scenery as his minutes in Minnesota as dwindled to 17.1 minutes per game.

At 6-foot-11, 252 pounds, the 30-year-old power forward from Senegal has the potential to be a double-double machine and certainly someone who can bang against a Joel Embiid.

Dieng also has the ability to stretch the floor as he can knock down shots from beyond the arc.  That makes him more intriguing than Clint Capella.

Like Capella, Danny Ainge would have to get creative with a package to match salary.

In all, he’s not the cheapest option, but a not-so-big name that could help the team on both sides of the court.

The only question with Gorgui Dieng if the Timberwolves are willing to deal him is whether or not he is an upgrade over what the Boston Celtics currently have.
