Hayden Hurst, Baltimore Ravens

This one is a legit rumor that has some legs, the question is whether the Baltimore Ravens are really willing to disrupt their trio of tight ends.

As first reported by Eugene Frenette of the Florida Times-Union, the New England Patriots and Jacksonville Jaguars are two teams exploring a pre-draft trade for Ravens tight end Hayden Hurst.

Not the sexiest choice out there if you are a Patriots fan, but his 30 catches for 349 yards and two touchdowns for the Ravens last season far surpasses with the combination of Ben Watson, Matt LaCosse and Ryan Izzo did last season in New England so obtaining the former first-round draft pick would be an upgrade over what they already have.

Set to just make over $3 million in 2020, Hayden Hurst is a cheap, productive option who would be under team control through 2021 and is a player who could flourish even more with the Patriots.

With Mark Andrews and Nick Boyle as the other tight end options in Baltimore, the Ravens could afford to move Hurst for a decent draft pick, which the Patriots have plenty of.

If this deal happens, it will most likely happen within the next couple of weeks to show Tom Brady the team is serious about getting weapons around him.
