New England Patriots: 5 juicy rumors ahead of 2020 NFL Draft
Jordan Love or Justin Herbert?
As much as it would appear Jarrett Stidham is the next man up with the New England Patriots, there certainly seems to be a lot of rumblings about the team’s interest in a collection of 2020 NFL quarterback prospects.
Two names that have resurfaced over and over again throughout the offseason has been Oregon’s Justin Herbert and Utah State’s Jordan Love.
Both quarterbacks would appear to be out of the reach of the Patriots as they select at No. 23. But if one of those quarterbacks begin to slide, could Bill Belichick move up?
It seems less likely for Hebert as it does for Love (if Belichick and McDaniels see something special).
Justin Hebert is a big arm who has reportedly meet with Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels, but unless he slips out of the top 15, I can’t imagine the Patriots moving up for him.
Jordan Love on the other hand is a name that could actually fall to them at No. 23. With his size (6-4, 224) and mobility at the quarterback position, Love is a talent who the Patriots may not pass up if he is sitting there when they select at No. 23.
A quarterback competition between Jarrett Stidham and Jordan Love would be interesting, but don’t be surprised if there is a quarterback the team loves more who can be taken later.
That sets the tone for the next juicy rumor.
