Here are the 5 best moves by the New England Patriots in the 2020 offseason.

The New England Patriots have had a disappointing offseason to some in 2020. I’m one of them. It all really began with the defection of their all-time best player due to management indifference.

Nevertheless, the Patriots have made several moves that could help the team in 2020.  Here are 5 of them.

5. Signing undrafted free agent J.J. Taylor from Arizona.

I like this undrafted free agency signing, a lot. J.J. Taylor is a mini-back, but don’t let his size fool you. He may only be 5’5″ tall and weigh 185 or so pounds but he is a dynamic runner in this small package. Don’t sell him short.

Taylor gained over 1400 yards on the ground in his Junior year. That’s churning up a lot of territory. His senior year was not so productive but that was due to fewer carries. He can run the ball.

There’s an old saying that “good things come in small packages”. It’s often true and the Patriots may have hit gold again with Taylor.

Watch his highlights and one thing stands out, he hits like a mini-van. He’ll take on defensive backs without hesitation. And give them a jolt.

Right now I’m giving Taylor a good, clean shot to make the Patriots roster as an undrafted free agent. Their running game was poor last season. In my view, it may be up to Taylor and last season’s basically unused third-round pick, Damien Harris, to make it better.
