Now that we know there will be an MLB season these are the five Boston Red Sox players you should keep an eye on.

It seemed like it would take an act of God for there to be a baseball season but don’t worry Boston Red Sox fans, a deal has been reached.

The MLBPA and the owners seemed worlds apart. Baseball managed to squander all the goodwill it had garnered over the years and was put on the backburner. More people seemed to care about a NASCAR race than whether or not an MLB season would be played.

But now it seems that Rob Manfred has decided to do his job. He stepped in (no matter how little he actually did) and now the two sides have a deal. Players will report to Spring Training on July 1st and games will begin on July 23rd or 24th.

There will be some new tweaks to America’s pastime. There will be a universal DH and extra innings will have a man start on 2nd base.

The 2020 season is going to look a lot different for a multitude of reasons but at least they will be playing games.

This also gives the Red Sox a chance to surprise some people. With such few games being played, if they get hot they have the chance to take away a playoff spot from one of their AL East rivals.

When play does resume, these are going to be the 5 players you will want to keep an eye on.
