Jayson Tatum was awful

Heading into Friday night one would have expected Jayson Tatum to be the one leading the Celtics to victory. That was definitely not the case.

Tatum had arguably one of the worse games of his career. He went two for 18 from the field and only had five points on the night. To add to that Tatum was a -13 on the night.

Tatum couldn’t buy a shot. He was colder than Antarctica out there in Florida. If the Celtics want to far, Tatum needs to be much better.

It was like he had become a completely different player. There was no way this could be the same guy who averaged 30 points a game in February.

Plain and simply Tatum has to be better. He can’t be committing fouls and missing shots at the rate he was on Friday. He was expected to be one of the best players and he was not.

Expect Tatum to come out with a vengeance and have a much better performance the next time the Celtics are out on the court.
