Marcus Smart is MVP so far

It was really stunning to see just how well Marcus Smart played on Friday. He was far and away one of the best players on the court.

Smart led the C’s in scoring with 23 points and also had four rebounds. He put the C’s on his back and carried them while they struggled.

Of course Smart also helped out on the defensive end as well. He arguably led to Giannis fouling out (but we will get to the refs later). Without Smart’s epic play off the bench, this game could have been a blowout. He was the catalyst behind the Celtics comeback.

People take for granted just how important Smart is to the team. He is a great leader but can also change the course of a game when he steps out on the court. If he keeps playing like this, the C’s will be in a good position.

It was clear on Friday that Smart was one of the best players on the court.
