The Boston Celtics (48-23) sent the Memphis Grizzlies (33-39 back into hibernation with a 122-107 victory Tuesday night.

The Boston Celtics extended their win streak to four games with a solid 122-107 victory over young stud Ja Morant and the Memphis Grizzlies Tuesday night in the Orlando bubble.

With every reason to take their foot off the pedal after securing the No. 3 seed in the Eastern Conference, the Celtics did not take the night off and rode the coat tail of their own young stud, Jayson Tatum.

After putting away the Orlando Magic with his own late-game magic in the game prior, Tatum continued his scoring ways with a game-high 29 points on 10-of-13 shooting.  Nine of those points came during a 22-4 run by the C’s that started late in the first quarter.

Boston Celtics put out the Grizzlies with a dominant run

Tied at 13, Tatum and the Boston Celtics basically put the game away during that stretch and showed Morant, who was held to just 2 points on the night, and the Grizzlies that they are not playoff ready.

Leading by as many as 22 points with contributions from just about everyone, Jayson Tatum and the Celtics were not only locked into a meaningless game for them but look very playoff ready in running away from a desperate Grizzlies team.

"“I think we’re ready,” Tatum said following the game, via Celtics.com.  “Obviously we need to continue to get better, and I think we have from Game 1 being down here to now.  I think we just continue to get better each and every game, and that’s what you want this time of the year is to continue to get better at the right time of the season.”"

After starting the NBA restart at 1-2, the Celtics have really found their way on the offensive end due to consistent contributions from Jaylen Brown, Gordon Hayward and a healthy looking Kemba Walker.  While the team still needs to be more consistent on the defensive end, they are also getting contributions off the bench.

If the defensive intensity picks up, as we saw against the Toronto Raptors, and the bench play continues to improve, this Boston Celtics team will be more than a threat to win the East, they will be a threat to win it all.

This leads to the three things we loved in the 122-107 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies.
