The New England Patriots come into Week 1 with a ton of concerns. Some of those will hopefully be put to rest after they play the Miami Dolphins.

Football is officially back, which means the New England Patriots are back as well. This year is obviously a lot different personnel wise, and the team is certainly not expected to light up the league as of right now.

The only thing we can hope for is that the Patriots find a way to win no matter who the opponent is. We can only speculate as to what the team’s identity will end up being, and in the meantime it will be interesting to watch it all unfold.

Gone are the days where we can pretty much guarantee a win in almost any given game. This team is going to have to grind games out more often than not, but luckily there is a path to a successful season.

It all begins with a pivotal division matchup with New England’s AFC East rival, the Miami Dolphins.

Last time these two teams matched up was Week 17 last year, which resulted in an embarrassing loss for the New England Patriots that wound up costing them a bye week. That untimely defeat lead to the rather anticlimactic end to the Tom Brady era in New England, as the team also lost in the Wildcard round a week later.

The team has put that series of events behind them and will look to start 1-0 in 2020, and there are three things that will need to happen in order for them to do that.
