Jamal Adams has the ability to be disruptive

If any player is going to bring the “Legion of Boom” back to the Seattle Seahawks, it’s safety Jamal Adams.

Acquired in an offseason deal with the New York Jets, Adams know the New England Patriots well and could be a major factor in this game.

In his Week 1 debut for the Seahawks, Adams was all over the field with 12 combined tackles and a sack.  Along with Bobby Wagner, he could be huge in limiting the ability to Cam Newton to run the ball.

In playing against him twice the last couple seasons, Patriots head coach Bill Belichick knows the challenge Jamal Adams presents very well.

"“Jamal Adams is one of their strengths,” Belichick said of Adams’ Week 1 performance.  “So, they did something a little bit differently with him than what they’ve done in the past in terms of inserting him into the pressure part of their defense, but I’d say with the overall context of what they have done fundamentally for quite a long time.  It’s not like they’re redesigning everything but they’re using one of their outstanding players in a very good way, and that causes problems for the offense.”"

In other words, Cam Newton could see a lot of Jamal Adams in his face if they keep him in the pocket and turn him into a throwing quarterback.

It will be a big challenge for this New England Patriots offense.  The Seahawks did give up major yardage to the Atlanta Falcons, but a player like Jamal Adams can still impact the game.  The Patriots have to find a way to neutralize him or else the offense will have a tough time moving the ball.
