Anfernee Jennings inactive for Week 3

Well, this prediction never had a chance as the New England Patriots announced Anfernee Jennings was inactive for the game.

It is always hard to make predictions when it comes to rookies because you never know when they are going to be active for the game.  In this game, I predicted Jennings would get his first-career sack along with 2 tackles.

This prediction was based on the Patriots focus on stopping the run against a very talented Josh Jacobs and applying some pressure on Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Derek Carr.

With second-round pick Josh Uche being placed on injured reserve, one would think Anfernee Jennings would’ve gotten some snaps, but Bill Belichick went more with his safeties playing hybrid linebacker roles in this game.

The New England Patriots did apply some pressure on Carr as they recorded two strip sacks on the Raiders quarterback, both of which led to scores.

It would’ve been nice to see the rookie get an opportunity in this game, but with Belichick, there is always a reason he makes decisions when it comes to young players getting in the game.
