James White will have a special name

After the New England Patriots ran over the Las Vegas Raiders to a tone of 250 yards on the ground, the running backs dedicated the game to captain and teammate James White.

Now back, after morning the tragic loss of his father, White is primed to have a big game against the Kansas City Chiefs.  In fact, ESPN’s Mike Reiss predicts a historic performance from the veteran running back.

"“Patriots running back James White’s return to the team provides a spart, and he will have a receiving TD, becoming the fastest RB in NFL history to reach the 25-TD receptions mark (80th regular-season game),” Reiss wrote, via ESPN.  “Brian Westbrook currently holds the record with 25 in 87 games.”"

With the running backs expected to be the main focus offensively in this game, it is not that bold of prediction for one of their versatile running backs to score a receiving TD, so why not James White?

As one of the teams more reliable offensive playmakers, White does present a matchup mismatch when he goes out for passes and there is no player as dangerous on screen plays than the Wisconsin product.

Expect New England Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels to draw up plenty of screens and draw plays with Brian Hoyer under center.  This leaves for a big night for James White in his return.
