New England Patriots Rumors: 3 trade targets who could spark momentum
Will Fuller is the answer at wide receiver
There are a few young wide receivers the New England Patriots could target, but the ultimate prize would be Houston Texans wide receiver Will Fuller.
In the middle of a breakout season, the former first-round pick would certainly upgrade the wide receiver group, giving Cam Newton another target to get the ball to.
Given that he is just 26 years of age, Fuller is a player who could spark the offense now and also be a player build around going forward. But, with 31 catches for 490 yards so far this season, the Patriots would not be the only team after the services of Will Fuller.
According to NFL.com, the Green Bay Packers are highly interested in pairing Fuller with Davante Adams.
Wouldn’t Aaron Rodgers love that duo?
With the Houston Texans not having a high round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, Bill Belichick could offer up a second round pick and even send a player like Sony Michel or N’Keal Harry in return if he or Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels really feel Will Fuller can flourish as a No. 1 receiver.
It’s a trade that doesn’t seem likely, but with his youth, speed and size, Fuller is exactly the kind of wide receiver Belichick and the New England Patriots haven’t had any success in drafting.
So, why not trade for him.
