Jayson Tatum for the win: 3 great Boston Celtics takeaways vs Bucks
Jaylen Brown continues to emerge
In combining to score 63 points, Boston Celtics fans have to be absolutely drooling and smiling over their young duo Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown.
Tatum got the game winner, but Brown’s 33 points was impressive in how he has really morphed his offensive game into something special. With the ability to score in different ways and create his own shot, Jaylen Brown is the perfect complement to Tatum.
With those James Harden rumors rumbling, Brown demonstrated Wednesday night that he is a player on the brink of being an NBA All-Star himself. With 5 rebounds and 4 assists to go along with that team-high 33 points, the Celtics wing is accepting the challenge of elevating his team to new heights.
"“It’s a new year, new season, new responsibilities,” Brown said following the game, via ESPN. “So, I’m just trying to accept that challenge. And I’m looking forward to his year.”"
If the rest of the season is anything like the first game, the tandem of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown are going to be a force to be reckoned with. They won’t get the same hype as Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving in the Eastern Conference, but they are two players still growing and sky’s the limit as to how high these two thoroughbreds may soar.
