New England Patriots: 5 players with everything to prove Week 17
N’Keal Harry needs to finish the season strong
Speaking of giving up on high-round draft picks, if N’Keal Harry doesn’t finish the season strong, that label of bust is going to follow him into the offseason.
With just 31 receptions for 292 yards and two touchdowns, the Arizona State product has done nothing to prove critics wrong. Instead, he has basically proved critics right in that his ceiling may just be that of a No. 3 wide receiver.
Even with the confidence shown from Cam Newton, Harry hasn’t sparked much excitement in the New England Patriots offense. He had one good game against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 2 and a few extremely athletic catches during the season, but the consistency hasn’t been there.
Now, that could still change with another season under his belt, but time is already running out for N’Keal Harry if he is going to have a prominent role in the Patriots offense moving forward.
At 6-foot-4, 225 points, it would be a shame if Harry doesn’t find his niche. He has one game left to show he gets it because Bill Belichick will bring in wide receiver talent in the offseason.
Folks, N’Keal Harry could find himself battling for a job in 2021. He needs to play with purpose against the New York Jets and go out with a bang.
