Boston Bruins: 3 observations from Tuesday’s tumultuous win over Penguins – No.1: Brad Marchand is dominating 2021.

The 2021 season might have just started but it’s clear who the MVP for the Bruins is. Brad Marchand is having an amazing season. He continued to show how great he is performing on Tuesday night.

Marchand was able to score a shorthanded goal and it was a beauty. He made Kris Letang look like he belonged in the AHL.

In 6 games, Marchand has 4 goals and 5 assists. He is Boston’s leading goal scorer and if he keeps playing as he has, he will likely stay on top for the rest of the season.

But that isn’t all that Marchand is doing. He is defending great on the penalty kill and continues to be a great asset.

It will be interesting to see the type of numbers that Marchand puts up in a shortened season. Will he be able to best his career high in fewer games? No matter how well he does, fans will wonder what type of numbers he would put up if this year had a full slate of games.

But the Boston Bruins are off to a hot start in 2021. It looks like they could be competing for a Stanley Cup at the end of the season.
