Boston Bruins: 3 observations from colossal 5-1 win over Washington Capitals – No.2: Trent Frederic continues to impress

Tinordi wasn’t the only player who got a piece of Wilson. Trent Frederic was also able to get a piece of Wilson. The two had a spirited fight and also continued to talk when they were in the penalty box.

Frederic has been a great addition to Boston in 2021. He is a physical player who is able to get under people’s skin. He’s the agitator that Bruins fans love and everyone else hates.

It’s almost like Frederic truly loves physicality. When he is hit or laying the lumber on an opponent he smiles and laughs like a kid playing with a brand new toy.

But Frederic also has the skills that will ensure that he stays in the NHL. In the 2nd period, he scored his third goal of the season.

It seems safe to say that Frederic has earned his spot on the roster. There is no one who should change that (I’m looking at you Ondrej Kase).

So Frederic has done everything he needs to do to stay in the NHL, but he’s not just doing that. He is thriving and proving that he is valuable to this Bruins team.
