Boston Bruins: 3 observations from colossal 5-1 win over Washington Capitals – No.1: Brad Marchand deserves a trophy

The No.1 star of the night was without a doubt, Brad Marchand. He stood up for his teammates and also showed his dominance on the score sheet.

Let’s start with his words. Marchand was interviewed in the first intermission and he wasn’t pleased with the hit. He flat out called it BS.

As soon as you heard what Marchand said, you knew that the Bruins were going to set things right. It’s safe to say that they did that.

Marchand had a great night on the ice as well. He notched two goals and an assist on the night and was Boston’s best player.

So far this season Marchand has 12 goals and 15 assists. He is playing phenomenally and deserves national attention.

If Marchand keeps playing like this he deserves to win some awards at the end of the season. He was recently mentioned in the Selke conversation, but the Hart Trophy isn’t that far away either.

So it was a great night for Boston Bruins fans even though they will be hoping that Brandon Carlo is doing okay. Boston showed why they are one of the best teams in the NHL.
