No. 1: Boston Red Sox SS Xander Bogaerts

Everyone must acknowledge Xander Bogaerts now.

The Red Sox shortstop is showing out and showing the world why he is one of the best players in all of baseball. Whether it is in the field or at the plate, Bogaerts has become a force in every aspect of the game and been the best player on the team in a year where multiple guys are showing off.

Bogaerts is in a contract year and he’s showing that he wants the big contract at year’s end.

The stud shortstop currently has a .344 batting average, 1.013 OPS, and is tops in the majors with extra base hits. Bogaerts cannot and will not stop showing the world that he is one of the best players on the planet, which has been a massive push behind the Red Sox’s great early start.

While there are certainly question marks in terms of him returning to the team next year, he is the leader of this team and sits at the top of the power rankings because of his play to this point.

Make sure to check back each and every Monday for updated rankings to see who rises, falls, and remains in the mix as some of the best on the team.
