1. New England Patriots quarterback Mac Jones will get his chance to shine

Sticking with University of Alabama products, Mac Jones slipped to the New England Patriots at No. 15 and there couldn’t be a better fit for the Heisman Trophy finalist.

NFL ready according to most draft experts, Jones will make headlines in 2021 even if he doesn’t play.

Why?

Because if Cam Newton wins the starting job, it will be due to Jones not being ready yet, at least to start the season.  But, if Newton starts to struggle, both Patriots fans and the media will begin to hound Bill Belichick about a quarterback change.

The coach will nod it off, but eventually Mac Jones will get his opportunity.  Once he does, there will be no looking back as his ability to lead an offense will shine through.  With the help of Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels, the Patriots rookie will simply manage games at first before he is unleashed.

But don’t expect Belichick to praise his young quarterback.  For whatever reason, the coach hasn’t really praised Mac’s ability.  Is that because he may have been forced to draft him?  Or is he giving him that same treatment he gave Tom Brady.  Will Belichick compliment Mac Jones by not complimenting him.

It motivated Brady as it will Jones.  By the end of the season, he could be the most successful of the rookie quarterbacks drafted ahead of him.  That is because he will have coaches that will put him in the best position to win football games.  He will also not be given the star treatment until he truly proves it.
