Boston Bruins rumors: 3 veteran goaltenders team should target

3 veteran goaltenders Boston Bruins should target – No.2: Craig Anderson
The next goaltender is also someone that Boston Bruins fans will be familiar with. If the B’s truly want a grizzled veteran, it will be hard to find someone with more experience than Craig Anderson.
Anderson is 40-years-old and has played almost 20 seasons in the NHL. B’s fans will likely remember Anderson the most from his 10 years with the Ottawa Senators. Boston has tended to get the better of Anderson with the goaltender having a 12-15 record against the Bruins.
Obviously, Anderson is getting up there in age but as stated before, Swayman will play the majority of the games for the Bruins. Boston won’t need to rely on Anderson that much.
There’s also the fact that Anderson didn’t play a lot of games this past season for the Capitals. He can continue to rest throughout the offseason and ensure he is ready for next season.
With Anderson getting up there in age, Boston could likely sign the goaltender on a cheap deal. This could allow the B’s to spend money on elite goal scorers to increase the Bruins depth and possibly replace David Krejci.
So if Boston is looking for a cheaper option with plenty of experience, Anderson is their guy.
