3 veteran goaltenders Boston Bruins should target – No.1: Petr Mrazek

As you can see, it seems rather that Boston signs at least one of the goaltenders from Carolina. There best option has to be Petr Mrazek.

Mrazek seems to be the perfect blend of experience as well as good play. He has played nearly 10 seasons in the NHL but is still only 29 years old. Compared to Anderson he is a young buck.

Similar to most of the goaltenders on this list, Mrazek didn’t play a ton of games last season. That’s especially the case when you compare Mrazek’s 12 games to the number of times Halak was on the ice.

Last season Mrazek only played in 12 games for the ‘Canes. He went 6-2-3 with a .923 save percentage along with a 2.06 goals against average. It wouldn’t be surprising if they let him walk so the Bruins should be able to sign him.

While Mrazek might seem young, he still has the ability to mentor Swayman. He could even be a long-term solution as a backup for the Bruins.

So there is no doubt that Boston has plenty of options when it comes to finding a new backup goaltender. Hopefully, Don Sweeney makes the right decision so the Bruins can get back on their way towards a Stanley Cup.
