New England Patriots vs Miami Dolphins: Mac Jones will shine

Mac Jones would never say this but he sees this as his time at Foxborough and he has no concerns whatsoever in following in the shadow of the greatest.

In fact, unless I am reading the tea leaves wrong, he’s out to replace Brady as the greatest quarterback if not player ever in the NFL. A tough task, but it begins with a single game.

That notwithstanding, Mac Jones obviously knows the time is here to begin crafting his legacy, and Brady’s is irrelevant to him.

Look out NFL and the sports world generally, this young man sees no limits to what he can achieve and no goals that he can’t attain.

This almost certainly includes winning the greatest number of Lombardi trophies, as well, as difficult as that obviously will be.

As seemingly outlandish as this may seem, it is clearly doesn’t seem to be in the eyes of this young man who has mastered the art of throwing the football that he feels is second to none.

And from what this writer has already seen in a limited sample, he may just be right. It’s already been predicted in this space that Mac Jones will best Tom Brady on October 3 at Gillette.

Also, it has been predicted in this space that he will go one to win the Lombardi Trophy in his rookie season, an unprecedented achievement. Don’t count it out.

Jones’s legacy, whatever that may ultimately become, begins to be created against the Dolphins. They will enter Gillette Stadium with every expectation of wrecking the debut of Jones in style.

Unfortunately, the poor Phish will be squished once more and they will fail miserably. Here’s how Mac Jones will be the X-factor against Miami.
