The New England Patriots had Zach Wilson seeing ghosts as the New York Jets rookie quarterback threw four interceptions in a 25-6 win by the Pats Sunday afternoon at MetLife Stadium.

While turnovers were the key to the Patriots losing in Week 1 to the Miami Dolphins, forcing turnovers propelled to the team to victory in Week 2.  That is just how quickly things can change in the NFL when a team is able to take advantage of those turnovers.

The Patriots certainly did that.  With two interceptions by J.C. Jackson and one each from Adrian Phillips and Devin McCourty, the defense was able to recover from some shaky run defense in holding the Jets to just a couple field goals in the game.

On offense,  Mac Jones continued to be efficient in taking what the defense gives him.  He was also aided by running backs James White and Damien Harris.  Each running back rushed for a touchdown in the victory.  With Nick Folk providing the rest of the offense with four field goals, the Patriots won in the fashion Bill Belichick loves.  All three phrases of the game.

"“Proud of our football team today,” Belichick said, via Patriots.com.  “I thought these guys came back and really worked hard all week, and I thought we made some improvement from what we did last week.  Still obviously have a way to go, a lot of things we can do better, but I thought we did a lot of things better than we did them last week.  So, we just need to keep grinding, keep working, just keep stringing these days and weeks together and keep improving our football team.  I thought a lot of guys stepped up, got some turnover opportunities and took advantage of those.”"

In all, a solid victory on the road for the New England Patriots.  There were some flaws, but as Belichick said, this team is a work in progress, especially with a rookie quarterback and several new players in key positions.  Here are five observations from the Week 2 victory over the New York Jets.
