New England Patriots running back Damien Harris goes beast mode

Speaking of the running game, Patriots running back Damien Harris got his redemption on the field on Sunday with just one play.

Channeling his inner Marshawn Lynch, Harris went beast mode on Jets defenders and barreled his way into the end zone with the help of someone unexpected.

If you look closely, Mac Jones was down there pushing Harris over the goal line on that play.  It not only pumped the team up, that one play had Twitter buzzing as it showed just how determined of a runner Harris is.

"“(I was) very determined, obviously,” Harris said following the game. “Anytime you touch the ball, you want to get it in the (end zone). It was a great play. Everybody was blocking their butts off. I got a lot of help from a lot of guys. Apparently, I got some help from Mac Jones, too. I’ll have to watch the film to see that. It was a great play. It was just great to have that moment with the team. Everyone was feeling the energy. Everybody was excited, so it was truly a great moment.”"

While that determination to get every extra yard led to a fumble a week ago, Harris was not letting the ball loose during that play.  In all, rushing for just 62 yards on 16 carries, that one play has now defined Harris’ season, which again shows how quickly things can change in the NFL, especially when the result is a win.

The only thing Harris might have changed on that play is his quarterback down there diving into the play.  The Patriots can’t afford Mac Jones getting injured on a play he has no business involved in.
