1. Boston Celtics All-star Jaylen Brown with a batman performance

On a night when Jayson Tatum struggled, Jaylen Brown was on fire.

Taking flight on the Madison Square Garden stage, it was Robin who shined in the spotlight with 46 points in 46 minutes.  In a Batman-type performance, Brown played like a man of steel coming off wrist surgery and a bout with COVID-19 to run wild and through the New York Knicks in keeping the team in the game with 20 in the first quarter.

Doing it inside and outside, Brown delivered by scoring in every way possible.

If Tatum was on his game, the outcome of this game would’ve been obviously different.  But it was great to see Brown do his thing coming off a career season.  After suffering a season-ending wrist injury that kept him out of the playoffs, Brown looked like a man on a mission as he attacked the offensive end with hunger from the tip.

"“He came out firing,” Celtics coach Udoka said, via Boston.com. “We wanted to get him a shorter stint early. He was playing so well, we didn’t want to take away his momentum, but at times in the game, we still were cognizant of that and trying to find him a break here and there. But he was rolling.”"

In all, it was hard to keep Jaylen Brown off the court given he had the hot hand.  While the side effects of Covid will be something to watch going forward, it appears the Celtics All-Star picked up where he left off last season and is ready to take his game to a new height.
