It’s a short week for the red-hot New England Patriots.

After a 45-10 pummeling of the Cleveland Browns, the Patriots have earned the label of the most dangerous team in the AFC and that is mostly due to both the defense and offense led by rookie quarterback Mac Jones putting it all together.

But, with all the hype surround Bill Belichick’s squad, the team knows they must keep their foot on the pedal, which means not letting up against an Atlanta Falcons team that is coming off their own whipping at the hands of the Dallas Cowboys.

With a veteran quarterback in Matt Ryan and a talented playmaker in tight end Kyle Pitts, the Falcons can still cause some problems for the Patriots, especially on a short turnaround week.

At 6-4, a win Thursday night would add to the momentum the team has built. To get it done, they may rely on some big games out of the following three players who were inactive against the Browns.

3.  Time for New England Patriots tight end Jonnu Smith to fly

Wouldn’t it be a great time for Jonnu Smith to finally have the type of game we’ve been waiting for?

Listed as questionable due to a shoulder injury that kept him out of the Week 10 matchup with the Browns, Smith did travel with the team down to Atlanta which means there is a pretty good chance that he will play.

If he is active, look for Mac Jones and the Patriots’ offense to get him involved early like they were beginning to do against the Carolina Panthers in Week 9 before Smith left the game due to the shoulder injury.

With Hunter Henry looking like the stud Belichick has praised, if the Patriots are able to get their other tight end going, they will be that more dangerous. Look for the ascendence of Jonnu Smith to begin on Thursday night…if he is healthy.
