This smells like a big game for New England Patriots wide receiver Jakobi Meyers.

With Kendrick Bourne grabbing the headlines and Nelson Agholor predicted by co-site expert Owen Crisafulli to be the x-factor in this Monday Night showdown versus the Buffalo Bills, it wouldn’t be a surprise if Meyers comes up with one of those 10-catch games as he is the go-to guy for Mac Jones when the team needs to move the chains.

In the past, the Patriots have had success against the Bills with slot receivers like Julian Edelman and Danny Amendola making plays in the middle of the field. Meyers isn’t officially known as a slot receiver, but he is the closest thing they must one.

Not only has he mastered finding the open spots in zone defenses, but he also has great hands, which has made him a reliable target for Jones. With no Tre’Davious White, the Bills’ secondary will have to defend against Agholor over the top and Bourne’s ability outside as well. Along with defending the tight end duo of Hunter Henry and Jonnu Smith, Buffalo may leave some plays to be made by Meyers.

With outstanding safety Jordan Poyer flying around, Jones must make the safe passes and that is how Meyers will rack up his catches. Following a big game receiving against the Tennessee Titans a week ago, look for Meyers to follow that up with another game close to 100-yard receiving.
