Cincinnati Bengals take down Kansas City Chiefs

There were many entertaining games in the NFL in Week 17, but the game of the day was between the Cincinnati Bengals and Kansas City Chiefs.

Joe Burrow and the Bengals clinched the AFC North with a down-to-the-wire 34-31 victory over the Chiefs who slipped down to the No. 2 seed with the loss.

While the Bengals proved they are a viable threat going into the playoffs, they have a player in Ja’Marr Chase who is proving to be a game changer in the NFL.

Talk about New England Patriots rookie Mac Jones all you want, but Chase basically ran away with the AFC Rookie of the Year honors with his performance against the Chiefs.  The LSU alum broke records of his own by surpassing the all-time rookie record in receiving yards.

Chase recorded 266 of those receiving yards against the Chiefs on Sunday.  Along with three touchdowns, Burrow marveled at his star receiver following the game.

"“If you’re going to play him one-on-one, a lot of times it’s going to be a long day for you,” Burrow said, via NFL.com.  “He’s a great player, and he’s going to be a great player for a long time.  Great person, too.  He doesn’t care if he gets 260 yards and three touchdowns or if he gets zero yards and everyone else makes all the yards.  Great guy to have.”"

As the playoff picture starts to take shape, the Bengals or the Chiefs could be the Patriots first-round matchup.  After seeing what Chase did on Sunday, one must wonder if Kansas City might not be a better matchup for the Patriots.

It’s now on to Week 18.
