As New England Patriots fans watched old friend Jimmy Garoppolo and the San Francisco 49ers upset the Green Bay Packers Saturday night, there had to be some familiarity with how Aaron Rodgers walked off the field that night.

If you recognized the look in his eyes, it was the very look Tom Brady had when he played his last game in a Patriots’ uniform.

New England Patriots fans should see something familiar in Packers’ situation

It was the sign of an end of an era as it very well could be for the Packers, a team that will more than likely go through an overhaul over the offseason as indicated by Rodgers, who expressed nothing but frustration following the game.

"“I think this thing is definitely going to look different moving forward,” Rodgers said, via NFL.com. “Green Bay has a lot of decisions, a lot of guys with opportunities. So it will be interesting to see what things look like moving forward. But I am thankful for this time, for this team. Super disappointed. Bummed out. Frustrated with how I played tonight. Frustrated with how it ended. But can still be grateful for this season and these guys.”"

While the offseason storyline will revolve around Rodgers in the offseason, the Packers will have some other major decisions to make, decisions that Bill Belichick and the Patriots should be monitoring.

With their needs at a few key positions, there are some interesting pending free agents for the Packers who would fill a few of those needs.  When the 2022 NFL free agency tampering period begins, here are three players Belichick should be kicking the tires on.
