Well, now that Tom Brady has officially retired from the NFL, New England Patriots fans may now stop paying attention to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers except for some players who could be intriguing to the team in the offseason.

In getting bounced in the Divisional round by the Los Angeles Rams, the Buccaneers’ hopes to repeat as Super Bowl champions were dashed after a late comeback by Brady and crew came up just short.

With that loss, it just felt like it was the last time Brady would walk on the field as a Buccaneer and it could be the last time a few notable pending unrestricted free agents play in the pewter, Bay orange, red, black and grey.

New England Patriots should keep their eye on Buccaneers’ free agents

As the team looks forward and hope to stay relevant without Brady at the helm, there are some big questions and big decisions they will face.  Bill Belichick will certainly be paying attention.  At least he should be in terms of finding the right players on defense and offense who can help fill some of the glaring holes that were exposed in the Patriots’ final weeks of the 2021 NFL season.

With the Patriots looking to take another step forward in 2022, adding some players who can impact the team on both sides of the ball while adding championship experience will be key as Belichick looks to continue building another championship caliber foundation in New England.

In looking at some of those key Tampa Bay free agents, here are 3 Buccaneers Belichick should certainly target during the 2022 NFL free agency period.
