How about that dynasty in Kansas City?  The Chiefs failure to win multiple Super Bowls over recent seasons proves just how impressive the New England Patriots run was.  While Patrick Mahomes is only hitting his prime, the window for his team is getting smaller.

As offensive and defensive playmakers like Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce, Chris Smith and Frank Clark are getting older, Andy Reid, Mahomes and the Chiefs have to think about re-tooling, especially with teams like the Los Angeles Chargers, Los Angeles Raiders and perhaps the Denver Broncos challenging for the AFC West.

The Chiefs will also have to contend with other AFC powers like the Cincinnati Bengals, who eliminated them in the AFC Championship Game, the Buffalo Bills, who had them on the ropes in the divisional round, Mike Vrabel’s Tennessee Titans and yes, the Patriots.

Kansas City free agents could help fill some holes on the New England Patriots roster

Like the Patriots back in the days of Tom Brady, the Chiefs will always be in the mix if they have a healthy Mahomes.  But, to stay on top of their own division and to remain a Super Bowl contender, they must address needs in free agency as well as try to retain some of their key pending free agents.

That is where Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots come in because some of those key free agents would fit nicely on a team looking to make the next step.

Whether it be to add experienced depth or adding leadership and experience, here are three Chiefs players Belichick should target in 2022 NFL free agency.
